About Go Green Sports

Go Green Sports is a family-owned business in downtown Anoka, Minnesota. It started with a passion for hockey and a college assignment. Dave and JD, the father and son team behind the dream, have always had a knack for getting high-quality hockey equipment for a great deal. This sparked the idea behind the business plan JD wrote for his entrepreneurship class while attending St. John's University.

Dave Wells grew up in Anoka, playing hockey and baseball. He continued into his high school career at Anoka High School, where he graduated in 1983. Dave met his wife, Heidi, in 1986, and they married the following year. Heidi grew up across the river, in Brooklyn Center, but soon grew to love Anoka and call it home.

Dave and Heidi have raised two wonderful children, JD and Sarah, who graduated from Anoka High School in 2008 and 2011. Dave's love of hockey was passed down to his children, as they both grew up playing. After graduation, JD continued his career as a goalie at St. John's University.

The Wells family has been deeply rooted in the Anoka Community for generations. When looking for a storefront for Go Green Sports, the location was never in question. Go Green Sports calls Main Street its home, and the Wells family could not be more excited!
